Available Variants of the DPG10Our inductance measurement instrument Power Choke Tester DPG10 is available in three variants for special applications. The main differences are the maximum measuring current and the maximum ohmic resistance. All other technical specifications are identical for all variants. Standard version up to 1000A (DPG10 - 1000A) The standard version of the Power Choke Tester DPG10 supplies a maximum measuring current of 1000 Amps adjustable in steps of 1 Amp. There are three measuring ranges (1...9 A, 10...99A and 100...1000A). The maximum ohmic resistance measurement limit is given with 3 Ohm with a resolution of 0.1 mOhm. The inductance curve of test components with higher ohmic resistance can be measured also if resistance value is entered manual. Therefore this instrument is suitable for use in development and production of all kinds of power inductors, i.e.:
Special version for current up to 1500A (DPG10 - 1500A) This special version is identical to the standard version but the third measurement range is 100...1500 Amps. Therefore this version is qualified especially for the high current range exceeding 1000 Amps. Special version for lower current up to 100A (DPG10 - 100A) This version has been developed especially for inductors with lower saturation current. The three measurement ranges are divided in 0.1...0.9 Amps, 1.0...9.9 Amps and 10.0...100.0 Amps adjustable in steps of 0.1 Amps. Additionally the resistance measurement was resized and covers a testing range of up to 30 Ohms. The inductance curve of test components with higher ohmic resistance can be measured also if resistance value is entered manual. The advantage of this version is the ability to measure chokes with smaller saturation current down to milliamps such as
and/or coils with high fraction of the ohmic part such as
The PC-software for our Power Choke Tester DPG10 will be upgraded and extended continually. The actual version 1.8g offers following additional functions for example:
